Prayer House - Sogn

Prayer - worship - following Jesus - fellowship - hospitality - practical work - simplicity.

The Prayer House at Sogn, is located in the village of Ortnevik in Sogn and is a community and a place for prayer, worship and practical “down to earth” work - perhaps best described as a modern monastery. We want our focus to be lifting God up in both prayer and work - yes, to give Him glory with all we are and have. We want to call and equip people to follow Jesus radically and in a `back to basics´ kind of way, through: prayer, fellowship and down-to-earth focus. Whether this way of life unfolds practically as someone who lives a secluded or in the middle of the city.

Our rhythm and work

Three times a day we hold a time of prayer. This is a time where we lift God up in prayer and worship, in a form of both liturgical and free prayer, hymn singing and praise.

Central to our work is intercession - we pray for the region, our nation and registered prayer requests. Practical work is a part of our lifestyle - this, in the form of keeping livestock and cultivating the land.

We gladly receive guests - so if you want to come and seek the Lord in the stillness, you would just like to visit, or are simply curious about the work we do here - you are welcome.
