Uni DTS

In the UNI Track we combine urban student life with discipleship training. This DTS challenges and equips you to learn more about Jesus and how to include Him in your everyday life. You get to be part of a community that supports and encourages each other in their studies.

Schedule

The DTS runs from the beginning of August to the end of June. There are four overseas outreaches during this time: Autumn break, Christmas, Easter and summer break. We’ll make sure your outreaches don’t start until your exams are over. In addition to overseas outreaches we do local outreaches to make a difference in Oslo.

Breakfast

We typically do weekday mornings together, having breakfast and some corporate prayer time between 7:00 and 8:30. Monday includes a larger morning gathering with the broader YWAM Oslo family, going until 10:00.

Mid day

The main part of the day is for students to go about their daily work and studies in their jobs or university courses, as well as any DTS duties they might have.

Dinner

On Monday nights we have a family dinner from 16:30 to 18:00. There’s a small group dinner on Thursdays in the same time frame. Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday have dinners where attendance is optional.

Evening

We have our “Bibelkveld” event on Monday evenings from 18:30 to 21:00. Visit bibelkveld.no for more information. On Thursday evenings in the same time frame we have a teaching for the DTS from one of our many speakers.

Weekend

Weekends are generally free, except for teaching weekends which occur about one weekend each month. These weekend events usually go from 16:00 on Friday to 16:00 on Sunday.

Unless otherwise mentioned, students are generally expected to be at all of the above functions, although there’s flexibility in the morning routines for those who need to be in classes or at work.

Living

DTS students are housed in a small mansion in central Oslo, within walking distance to both the University and College of Oslo. We have a beautiful backyard for parties and social gatherings.
